So the benefits to you become clearer the more you learn about maintaining and running a small business. It enables you to become a more rounded individual and raises your confidence in your abilities. Multi-tasking means you are less bored with the same old repetitive chores. Your day can include selling, advertising, fabricating a product, contacting new clients and many more – no two days will be the same.
Obviously, there is the temptation to do it later but that will be your downfall. Set your work hours and stick to them (there is more flexibility but you need to build your company so make the effort to be consistent). Make your business goal tangible – a wall chart or ‘prize’ for making or exceeding your target sales. You can reward yourself and the sense of achievement is a great motivator.
